Who would have thought that 30 minutes from central Bangkok there is a large expanse of water holding some of the largest freshwater species in Thailand. There you have an outstanding chance to catch giant Mekong Catfish weighing up to 150 kilos, a true test even for the strongest of anglers.

The Lake is stocked with Mekong Catfish, Siamese Carp and Arapinas. An average days fishing will see you fighting with around 20 – 30 fish, starting at 15 kilos up to the giants. The Lake has depths of 10 – 25 ft and has a wooden walkway surrounding it. On one side you have the opportunity to fish from the Thai style Bungalows with wooden decking as the fighting point. The Bungalows have TVs and fans if you are feeling exhausted and need a break.
